Shibuya Ku - No drinking on streets during Halloween 2023

ハロウィーンを前に東京 渋谷区は27日夜から条例に基づいて渋谷駅周辺の路上飲酒を制限し、トラブルへの警戒を強めることにしています。 渋谷駅周辺では毎年、ハロウィーン前の週末から当日にかけて多くの若者や外国人が集まり、飲酒によるトラブルが相次いでいます。 特に、ことしは新型コロナの5類への移行後、若者や外国人による路上飲酒が横行している状態が続いていて、渋谷区はこれまでのハロウィーンより深刻なトラブルが起きるリスクが高まっているとして警戒を強めています。 区は27日午後6時から条例に基づいて渋谷駅周辺の路上などでの飲酒の制限を始めることにしています。   また、最も混雑すると見込まれる28日と31日は、渋谷駅周辺のコンビニエンスストアなどに酒の販売を自粛するよう要請します。 今夜からは区の職員や警備員がパトロールを行って路上飲酒をしないよう指導することにしていて、区はこれまでで最大規模の態勢でハロウィーン期間の警戒を行うことにしています。

Ahead of Halloween, Tokyo's Shibuya Ward has decided to restrict drinking on the streets around Shibuya Station from the night of the 27th based on the ordinance, increasing vigilance against trouble.

Every year, many young people and foreigners gather around Shibuya Station from the weekend before Halloween to the day of Halloween, resulting in a number of troubles caused by drinking.

In particular, this year, after the transition to Category 5 of the new coronavirus, drinking on the streets by young people and foreigners continues to be rampant, and Shibuya Ward is at a higher risk of serious trouble than previous Halloweens. We are increasing our vigilance.

Starting from 6pm on the 27th, the ward will begin restricting drinking on the streets around Shibuya Station based on the ordinance.

 Additionally, on the 28th and 31st, which are expected to be the busiest days, convenience stores and other stores around Shibuya Station will be asked to refrain from selling alcohol.

Starting tonight, ward staff and security guards will be patrolling and instructing people not to drink alcohol on the streets, and the ward will be conducting its largest-scale vigilance to date during the Halloween period.
