Aki - 秋 - あき - Summer

 Kanji of the day is Aki  - 秋 - あき




 (grain) +  (fire); after harvesting the grain, the fields are burned to kill locusts and their eggs. 

In Japan Aki is falls between mid November and early December. Trees turn into red, yellow and orange and its beautiful all around.
